Dr, Chung is an accredited surgeon for the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. Additionally, he has traveled to areas on the cutting edge of bariatric surgery in order to receive the most technologically advanced training. In 2001, Dr. Chung opened the Comprehensive Surgery Clinic, and he has been a staff surgeon at LSU Health Sciences Care Division since 1998. Upon receiving his M.D. from Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Chung completed his surgical residency at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
