Audencio Alanis, M.D., is a bariatric surgeon in Houston performing both open and laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Alanis is certified by the American Board of Abdominal Surgeons and has performed over 1600 surgeries since 1986. Dr. Alanis received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. He later completed his residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, and served a fellowship at the University of Texas-Southwest Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Alanis received surgical oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
